Description

First artwork for 2012 :)
I didn't submit much personal art last year, so I decided to change that and focus from now on on redefining my own style and personal creations. Hope you'll like !

Hi!

Me again. WOW, what an incredible piece of artwork! My favorite thing about this piece is that, even without looking at the title, I could tell exactly what it was supposed to be! It was that clear in sending a message. I love manipulations that tell a story, and this is definitely one of them.

I love the mist and the sense of mystery it creates. The lighting is gorgeous, and I am impressed by how lovely the hair looks. You have really come a long way in learning to paint hair! You'll have to teach me, hehe!

What I also like about this piece is the juxtaposition of fantasy and reality. She is not overly made-up or painted over, and the background is very real. Yet, the mist and the heart-shaped rose petals (VERY cool, by the way) give it a fantasy feel. It's like coming out of a dreamland or something.

I truly can't think of anything to critique from the perspective of "what needs improvement," and that's saying a lot because I can find something in most pieces. (We all can always improve, right?) But, this is exquisite. I love your work and look forward to seeing more of it this year.
